Call of Juarez:

Call of Juarez, created by Techland, is a first person shooter set in the old west. It first was released in Europe as a DirectX 9 title on September 15th, 2006. 9 months later, Techland finally releases the U.S. version of the game. However, as a added bonus for the wait, it comes pre-installed with DirectX 10 features while also containing some other fixes and minor gameplay adjustments.

Story:

Call of Juarez is set around two main characters who you play, usually switching between the two after each chapter (level).

Billy

After failing in his search for the lost treasure of Juarez, he decides to visit his mother in the town of Hope. However, due to unfortunate timing, he happens to get there just as his mother and step father are killed. While Billy is at the scene of the crime, the Reverend (Ray) is making his way toward the area after hearing the news. After seeing Billy standing near the bodies, he assumes that he killed them and so starts the chase.

Reverend Ray

A past outlaw who "saw the light" and turned to the ways of the Bible, he now works in a church as the Reverend. However, he quickly picks up old bad habits after assuming that Billy killed his own mother and step father. Thinking that he is now God's sword, he goes out and kills anyone who gets in his way while chasing after Billy.

I do!

Outlaws was a great game! I remember playing the demo over and over, just to hear the music on the trailer at the end! Good stuff :).

Outlaws

Does anyone remember Outlaws by LucasArts - that's my favourite western game. It was a lot like Dark Forces, might have been the same engine. Ah, the good old days!
