So I am looking at something in the line of a 42" lcd. About all I know is I want 1920x1080p. What is the Ideal connector for pc use? I would of thought dvi but they dont seem to have them. Regular d-sub, or component, or do I use some expansion card with a hdmi output. Also wondering at the 120hz scan rate, is it worth the premium. my old 19" samsung lcd is 8ms refresh and ghosting dosent seem to horriable, but It would be worse with the bigger screen right? Some links to some good reads would be helpfull. Stuff about the 120 rate especially. I've been looking for a while now but the last time I spent any real time 1080i was the new thing.

Re: Starting my search for a new monitor.
BTW the 120hz thing is mainly for movies. Especially HD material.
If you going to eventually get High Definition movies, the 120HZ will really help with motion stuttering.
If a camera pans on a 60HZ monitor it will stutter because it's trying to play 24fps material at 60fps, which means it has to double some frames to get it to 60, as 24 is not a multiple of 60.
However with 120HZ, 24 is a multiple. Which means perfect motion, which many with HD films said has a staggering increase in picture quality.

Re: Starting my search for a new monitor.
OK fixed the images. When I sit that close the monitor takes up 80% of my vision. Really imersive, and I still cant see the pixels. Great for anything using a mouse. I sit a little farther (extra 6 feet) back for joypad games with a wireless pad, and about 12 feet back for movies on the coutch. Gained a whole lot of room in the room. With the monitor on the table I got rid of the entertainment stand.
