This is for Crysis, has anyone found any way to bind a g15 key to a mouse button. IE the forward button on my mouse. If anyone knows how to do this I will love you. And do this![]()

Calling all G15 Gurus

Re: Calling all G15 Gurus
It's actually pretty simple if you have the right mouse.
Last night I installed my Logitech G15 keyboard and Logitech G7 mouse. The software that comes with both of these devices allows you to do virtually anything you want, including full macros. I was looking through the options in the software and saw that I could attach ANY key or combination of keys to ANY mouse button or keyboard button.
If you have the right mouse, I can work with you to get what you want accomplished.

Re: Calling all G15 Gurus
While I didnt get the g5 mouse (dont like the feel to much), I got a deathadder which still has programmable macros (no advanced delays so otherwise I would use this). I'm pretty sure the Razer can do almost everything a Logi mouse can do. I've yet to find anything in the g15 software about keybinding it :(.
I've been looking at the profile code and I've seen gamekey and I'm not sure if that will work if i change it to mouse4 or something.

Re: Calling all G15 Gurus
I'm not sure I follow you.
All you're trying to do is bind a key, or sequence of keys, to a button on your mouse?
Here is what my mouse software looks like, I can do virtually anything I want. Take a look, is yours similar to thais?

Are you trying to specifically bind the G1-G18 keys on the left side of the keyboard to a mouse button? I haven't tried that yet, so if that's what you're referring to I may need to stop and think about what could be different about doing that.

Re: Calling all G15 Gurus
Each of those "G keys" functions are created entirely by the user. In order to use them, you have to enter your own custom keyboard strokes or macros. If you are trying to "bind" one of those keys to a specific mouse button, all you should have to do is assign that same keystroke/macro to that mouse button. You wouldn't be "binding" it to that key, but that mouse button would have the same exact function as that "G key" since they are both associated with the exact same keystroke/macro.
Have you tried doing that yet? I don't see why that wouldn't work, they would both serve the same purpose.

Re: Calling all G15 Gurus
The problem is the gkey is a macro containing: 4 4 4 T 4, which if you try to bind it to a key the first thing it picks up is 4 which is not what I want it to be. I havent been able to assign that macro to a mouse button without it going with 4 first.

Re: Calling all G15 Gurus
What is the exact macro you're trying to use, in the exact order the buttons are suppose to be pressed?
I guess I'm not seeing the limitations that you're hitting when trying to do the same macro on the mouse.

Re: Calling all G15 Gurus
4 4 4 0.001ms delay T 0.001ms delay 4
Basically Switch to Strength Mode, Punch, Switch to armor mode.
I want to put the macro on the mouse to make it faster, there is a built in macro maker for the mouse but no advanced delay settings which I need. If you try to put the G13 key on my mouse button 4 it fails to put the g13 key, instead it puts the 4 4 4, etc.

Oooooohhh.....
I see what you're saying now. Yeah, I just tried on mine as well and have the same problem. There is no way to insert a delay in there at all. I'll look around a bit, but yeah...that could be a tough one.

Re: Calling all G15 Gurus
I mean the simple solution is just to make the GKey like 1 entity, so you can just bind it but no programs from g15mods or anything have that.
Why cant mouses have the same delay features as the g15?? :(
