    Custom VGA Coolers.

Seeing Uber post about a heatsink mod I did back in the day, got me thinking.. Ive been shopping around for aftermarket heatsinks for my 8800GTs, and Im just not happy with what is available. Or, its just simply, damn, the price range.

I would hate to spend 60 to 80 bucks on a cooler and then find out I either dont like its performance, its noise, etc... (wish I could do some reviews or something on this stuff)..

Anyway, I may just end up doing some design stuff with the tools here at my new place and just making my own. Wish me luck.

Having reviews for after market products is not a bad idea. You do like to actually mess with those things from what I remember. I wish I had better connections to get you some products. Having more reviews is the best way to drive traffic here.

Oh and that card with that heat sink you made is hanging on my wall. It definitely made a difference in performance. I would love to have the money to start our own after market cooling products for cards! Trying the best I can on making dreams come true.

Not sure I'd be able to mass produce anything here. I however maybe could sell off the design, if I found one that worked well enough for me.

Oh this wouldn't be a single person production man. This would be a warehouse with employees and machining equip mass producing these things!

What I'm using for GPU cooling these days:

Not overly "custom" but getting the job done.

i'm with ya man, you just have to appreciate a setup like that. Nothing quite like a handful of 120mm fans blowing 78cfm of air each directly into the motherboard, cpu, video card and memory.

Yep I tried the 3 way SLi with my old Xaser III case, the 2 X 80mm didn't seem to be doing the job. Runs well now, use 8X MSAA as my starting point for gaming at 19X12.

How in the world does 3-way SLI work? I have never even seen it before?

It appears you actually have a triple-SLI bridge as well, I didn't even know they made those. Not to mention a special motherboard to do it too.

In a nutshell, each card renders every 1 of every 3 frames.

The hardware needed and technology is listed here:

If you have a 19X12 or 25X16 res monitor and want to run games with high levels of AA- this is how it's done. It's good stuff- I like it a lot.

Someone with a lot of money... or the right connections

Just teasing man, you got one hell of a system, puts mine to shame and that's saying something .

If i was on a lot more money I'd buy a lot of hardware just to review them, alas I was born all simple like .

Thanks dude- I just bought a Dell 3007WFP-HC to let the 3Way stretch it's legs.

25X16 gaming with 3 Way SLi is what computer gaming should be.
