Has anyone used it?
Well anyways, my bro gave it to me cuz he needs an extra slot in his XPS
I read in many places that crysis does not support its software however my fps went up dramatically when using it. (im not joking, i thought it was a stupid thing at first, but now im happy)
so this means no more lag when there are too many things on the screen
Like in the Recovery level, when you get to the villiage, my comp would lag cuz too many buildings and entities, but now its as smooth as silk in video format. lol
Give me your opinions and reviews on the Ageia PhysX Card

Re: Ageia PhysX Card
I'd like to hear more about your performance in the games.
Can you do some simple tests with Crysis to see if there were actually any framerate differences using the Ageia board?
Please post some benchmark results if you can.

Re: Ageia PhysX Card
alright you guys, gimme some time, and i will get that to you
so before i do the benchmark test, what i did notice is that tis card is really just a boost in CPU performance, its like a cpu but in card format. Things like number of entities and physics processing speed is almost doubled, anothyer thing i noticed is that when zooming in with the binocs, i dont stop for .5 seconds before the next level of zoom, its straight and smooth like real time, and thats cuz its processing the number of things in the visible range.
Alright but enough of just saying it, ill get right on test it soonI want the gun in my hand and the blood on the walls, kick some ass and grab life by the balls.

Re: Ageia PhysX Card
odd... i was under the impression the card only effects games that are based off its hardware and specific drivers. hence why there are only special levels in some game that kinda push for the card. So really it should do nothing for your games. If anything go get cell factor as it is free now and that always looked pimp to me.

Re: Ageia PhysX Card
i thought so too, so i did some research to see why it helped,i came across the AGEIA Website, and found out that the card will maximise performance if the game enables it, but it really helps, ALOT in any game demanding CPU power (which is what physics basically is)

i wouldnt recomend this to someone with a quadcore extreme, but i would to anyone with a dual core or less, thats where the performance boost comes in. Cuz like i said before this card is more like a CPU boost, in a game.
Another NON-Physx Enabled game it works SUPER WELL WITH is Hitman Blood Money, when you have soo many bodies all in the same screen close together, it would lag, but not anymore, i could have 30 plus bodies with no lag at all, with everything maxed
PS, found improvements on Farcry, but not too much, and only on the levels that really needed it.
