Anti Virus Programs, What do you use?

So what does everyone use? I just got fedup with Norton AV, I think its crap, and the worst of all I find it slow... I just switched to ESET NOD32 AV. So far so good, fast, safe, better than Norton. Not a big performance impact while scanning, I can play crysis just fine with it running. Good UI with good advanced options.

Use NOD32... and so does the hospital i work at... given the HIPPA violations with patient confidentiality..... i figured it must be decent.

... What the hell have you been listening to? Zest commercials?

Anyway, I didn't really like Avira (AntiVir) too much. I had it installed on my PC and my g/f's, but it's pop-up thing seemed like adware to me, really annoying. I removed it from both machines and I've got Avast! back on 'em again and all is well again. I like Avast! better IMHO.

    It is an ad

But it is an ad for their own product. I don't see any harm in that. Oh and the ad only shows up after an update.

For a free Anti Virus program it's one of the best... Not I said ONE, not THEE

I have been using avast (free edition) for 3 months in vista 64 bit. I would recommend it to anyone. I used to use AVG but they didn't do 64-bit at that time. Still looking for a good low intrusive spyware. Adaware just didn't cut the mustard.

Another thing I forgot to add, I used to use Norton, but I'll never put another Norton application on my PC again. I swear, Norton does more damage than most malware :/

They also like to take over your security settings in your browser at random and cause you to not be able to connect to the internet. I deal with this issue on a daily basis with both Norton and McCrapy.
