Anybody around hear ever use Ubuntu. Love the OS, does everything under the sun except getting games to work with good fps. If game makers started making Linux copies of their games I would never use Windows again.

Re: Ubuntu feisty fawn FTW (execpt for gaming)
Yeah, I'm probably one of the few Linux and BSD users here on the forums. Try Gutsy (7.10). Compiz-Fusion out of the box, and using the advanced settings makes the whole Vista Aero look like amateur garbage. I usually have a combination of XP Pro, Vista 64, and Ubuntu 64 installed on my system at any one time. I keep installing Vista and using the 30 day trial to see how it's coming along. As far as compatibility, it's not there yet. No real reason to move away from XP for gaming. Everything else, I like to do in Ubuntu (Kubuntu in my case
KDE)
