Well i am in the process of getting this out ASAP. Rest assured you will see it very soon!
In the meantime i leave you a teaser image.
Not the best image but rest assured this article will deliver all you want to know about Crysis demo, it's performance with the top end Nvidia card (8800GTX + SLI), while comparing image quality of DirectX 9 + 10.

I have to benchmark in DX9 vs DX10 both set to high, DX9 vs DX10 High vs Very high (highest DX10 mode), CPU overclocking benchmarks, then GPU overclocks (with the cpu overclocks still on, to reduce any CPU limitations)

Re: Crysis Demo | Performance Review *coming soon, teaser inside*
Runs a little slow for me, but I have graphics all the way up(around 15-25fps). Sure is pretty. Shadows are excellent. Some of the water(like in creeks) looks dated, but the ocean and underwater look amazing. Heard trhe demo is running worse than the beta...anyone know for sure?

Ya, no SLI here, just a solo 8800GTX.

Re: Crysis Demo | Performance Review *coming soon, teaser inside*
Just a update:
I know this is one article more wanted that others. However this is by far my best one yet, some nice touches i added.
However because of how big the article is going to be and how indepth it will be graphically for Crysis it may take longer than i thought.
The wait will hopefully be worth it though!

Re: Crysis Demo | Performance Review *coming soon, teaser inside*
totally looking forward to your review! I only had a little time to try the demo. Also.. for some reason me and my buddy cant get dx10 to work.. the game freezes at the start and then nothing.... so i got to figure that out... but anyways.. i will give more comments once i get to play it more. i will say 1920x1080 no AA and all high runs good.. way better than the beta and looks great. can't wait to finally try dx10 when i get that working.

Re: Crysis Demo | Performance Review *coming soon, teaser inside*
yeah.. i mean i did not run fraps but what i was getting seemed totally doable. I i have read alot of post people with similar systems saying they cant really run this rez.. but i found it to run totally fine. I am however looking forward to the next gen of cards for the max fps factor.. but i will be playing this game fine with these settings.

It runs like crap for me, perhaps that extra CPU speed you are using is helping you out. I bet if you use fraps you'd see your FPS are around 20 though.

Re: Crysis Demo | Performance Review *coming soon, teaser inside*
Yeah I'm sure it helps him a little, although I am running my card at GTX speeds I believe, the video memory I can't do anything about. But I'll stand by my 20fps assumption ;).

Re: Crysis Demo | Performance Review *coming soon, teaser inside*
I can't stop playing it. I've completed the demo 11 times already.
. This is why I bought a decent PC, for crazy fun games like this.

Re: Crysis Demo | Performance Review *coming soon, teaser inside*
If people are wondering why it's not out yet, it's because i have decided to delay it and do the full version instead, it was either the demo or the full game, and i think people would prefer the full version.
If only i was filthy rich and didn't have to work, then i could do a lot more, but alas something's gotta pay for my habits

Re: Crysis Demo | Performance Review *coming soon, teaser inside*
At the very least, could we get the performance benchmark charts?
BTW. Why do you include the overclocking in the benchmarks? I can understand maybe the video cards, but the CPU. Is stuff such as that really nessesary? I mean, if people want to OC they can, but in the end, I just dont see it being that important kinda thing.

Re: Crysis Demo | Performance Review *coming soon, teaser inside*
Because we like to be very detailed. I think having a detailed review with entire specs are well worth it. Give the people a better prospective of the capability's and such. Instead of a bunch of questions later, we can solve them by supplying as much info as we can in the review.

It's because i like to show people what is the limiting factor in games, either CPU or GPU.

GPU is pretty obvious and i feel i do not have to explain that one.
As for the charts only 4 out of the 12 are done...
So you will have to wait sadly.

Sadly i have not, it's something i'd like to do however at this moment in time i don't have enough free space to partition a drive and install XP, 500GB drive and about 9GB free

Re: Crysis Demo | Performance Review *coming soon, teaser inside*
Well... at any rate, the reviews you have done have been very nice and your editors wrap it all up in a sexy package. I honestly dont know how you have the patients to do the reviews you do. You really add alot more to the mix than the average review. I kinda wish a big site would see your work and pay you for it. I am sure it would make reviews alot more fun if money was involved
OT, did you get my message on live? I have never sent a voice message via 360 to windows live. Okay.. back on topic.
