What do you guys think? How does it run on your system(s)?

It's pretty fun, feels a bit different than what I'm used to, but that's fine. Hover board FTW!! As for my system.. I get about 40-55fps w/ Opty 175 (2.0GHz 2MB cache), 2GB DDR400, 7800GTX 256MB. Fine for me, I was actually impressed it did that well. Oh, texture quality set to 3 on both world and detail. 5.1 in game is nice and clean too, no sneaking up behind me :confused: I'm really enjoying it.

m3talc0re and his always amazing talent created, well part of this. I can't say we did it because well, he did not make the actual image in the center and well, he really just added material to it! Still a ahell of a job and currently only available at 1280x1024.

This is such a big difference, it pissed me off when there was like no real difference between 2003 and 2004 version i mean the changes were so small they coulda just made a patch serisously. The weapons, engine, gore everyting looks so great, definetly have to look into this more around the release date

I enjoyed this demo alot. It runs great and is alot of fun like UT99. I have been play alot of CTF with a buddy of mine over team speak almost every night.... i love to snipe for headshots!

This game looks great. It's just that ShangriLa has quite an excessive amount of light bloom for me. Hope it is adjustable in the final game. Speaking of which, I can't wait for November!!!

it's going to be a great month. Also.. the post processing will have adjustable setting so you will e able to adjust the bloom effects.

I like the playabaility. I can get home, make a server and jump in and wait for others to join. very easy.
and that bloom starts to get me mad now a bit, so i turned it off

It runs pretty well on my single core A64 3800+, 2GB RAM, 7900GS system - the frame-rates aren't spectacular, but good enough for me. It does look very nice on the max settings of the demo though, even with the textures being limited for the demo. I had a bit of an issue with Xfire (the gaming chat application) causing frame-rates to be much lower, but once I turned that off, I could enjoy it in all it's glory.

vCTF seems like great fun, and the new vehicles, like the hiverboard and the Darkwalker are great fun to use. The weapons feel nice, although the flak primary felt a little weaker than before to me... maybe it's just the locations used though.

I love vCTF as well, I didn't care much for the hover board, but all the other vehicles were spectacular. I think the chain gun is one of the best weapons atm, I think the flak got a nerf. Demo/beta or whatever has been awesome, played it on my new computer and great frame rates, can't wait for the release.

I'm glad my 7900 GS takes this game pretty good. Average 45 FPS at near high settings. I hear the game will be more optimized with better graphics. That's always a good thing.

What CPU have you got out of interest? I seem to get closer to a 30-35fps average myself on the DM maps with that same card (I have a single core AMD 3800+ CPU.)

[EDIT] It helps if i read the handy "specs" link below everyones name's I guess you having dualcore might explain the difference in fps then.

It capes at 62fps. I didn't think it was that graphically great. OH well.

The demo doesnt have the real graphics in it. The retail will look a lot better IMO

I have an Athlon 64 X2 Dual Single Core 3800+ 2.1 GHz. At least that's what it says on my brother's computer, but yeah he has a dual core. My FPS actually dips and jumps quite a lot but it's steady enough for smooth gaming.

Oh I have the BFG 7900 GS OC. I'm guessing OC means overclocked?

Yeah OC usually means it's been factory overclocked.

Oh that might explain the fan making a lot of noise for a few seconds once in a while? Still cool though. I'm happy with this card because after rebate ($50), it's $80.

I'm not a fan of the game, it's a little too chaotic... and not in the good way. It just feels like a big mess to me, and the user interface is absolutely atrocious. The graphics are nice, performance was "playable" on my aging system, but the gameplay just doesn't grab me. I much prefer UT2K4, and I'll be sticking with it unless UT3's warfare mode can live up to my expectations.

Does anyone, not disconnect but the game just stops and players just move forward? Its basically a DC but you stay in the game? Its happening alot to me and my internet is fine...

I have never had this issue. actually.... as long as i get in the servers that are under 100ms i tend to have minimal lag.... as far as head shots go.. i can tell that the connection is not perfect but i can kinda compensate for the connection speed with a little pre-fire.

No.. no crime. But it truly is fun if you can get on a mic with a buddy on team speak. that way its alot better to land a flag capture if you can actually communicate. If it was not for my buddy being my right hand man in all the multiplayer games we play.. i might not have considered this game even though i do like it alot. I now have to get gears in the following week.... so many games !!!!!

what is your connection? I have a very solid connection... however some lie Uber Tiny have all the hook ups
