I am considering starting Wow but i have some questions to ask and i trut your judgement/guidance.
1)I dont really understand...
Do you pick a realm then make characters in that realm then decide on them if you are going to be pvp or pve or whatever else you cant be?? or do choose a realm then a playing thing (I mean pve or pvp) then all the characters you make have to play in there
2) is it horde or alliance all the time??
I mean do you pick one then you are stuff in that group forever or can you make different characters in each ?
3) is it really worth the money ?
for me its like ?8 a month $15 atm i think cos of exchange rate. As well as the ?20 to actually buy it.
thanks

Re: Questions about wow
The way it works is there are different realms that have different rules. What I mean by different rules go as follow.
PVE realm means you can go anywhere and never come out of PVE making it to where you do not get ganked by another person in contested land. But if you toggle your self to PVP you are then free to be killed anywhere.
You can pick a realm that is PVE and not have to worry about a-holes sneaking up and killing you as they feel fit. But that's all part of the PVP servers. Once in contested land you automatically flagged as PVP and are free for the killing. Making it best to run with a group of people rather than by your self.
Then there are the RPPVP. These are Roll Playing PVP servers. Basicly your supposed to actually roll play in these servers or face possible booting from the server if you do not follow the rules for roll playing. I just ignore people I do not know on the server I am on.
Best way to get through the first part of the game is to have friends to play with and level with. It makes things like leveling go by MUCH faster.
Now for making characters on servers.
For PVP servers you can only make a character on one side either Alliance or horde but only one side. But you can make as many characters as they allow for that one side.
PVE servers allow you to make a character on both sides.
Worth the money? It really depends on how you like the game. I would say give it a month and then decide from there if it is worth it or not.
Some useful tools for wow are things like Thottbot. www.thottbot.com
You have a quest that you cannot find where you need to go look them up, type in your quest name and the rest is fairly easy to follow. As the game goes on you will find out that ad ons in the game are used by pretty much every one and there are allot of sites out there that have good ad ons.
For a beginner I would say start off in a PVE realm with a Horde character. I say get a horde because in PVE servers most of the people on the alliance side are winy little kids where as the people on the Horde side are more mature. If you by chance also get the expansion Burning Crusade you can create an awesome class called the Blood Elf.
I hope I answered your questions.Q: What do you think about most during the day?
A: Women. They are a complete mystery.
