Re: Halo 3 Discussion Thread
I wish I had a 360 and the $$ to get the game.
But as I do not like Halo on the console, I will pass.

Re: Halo 3 Discussion Thread
I'm really kind of "meh" on the whole halo franchise. I don't really like online gaming very much due to the extreme amount of annoyances caused by hormone crazed 13 year olds calling me a "b**** a** n***** c***s****** f*****" when I play with skill and score a kill on them. Haven't played halo since the original, and even that was nothing special to me

Re: Halo 3 Discussion Thread
I was disappointed one afternoon when I turned on G4tv (decent afternoon background noise) and it was made clear, they were having an all day Halo party for the release..
I mean really. Halo isnt that cool of a game. I never understood why kids enjoyed this game so much? Is it just because it was the first decent shooter that was console specific?

Re: Halo 3 Discussion Thread
Halo when it was released back on the first xbox was the first decent single player game which had good vehicle control, great AI a decent story, and good gameplay.
That with Co-op sealed it's fate.
Sure it's not a AMAZING game, but it's better than most of the other mediocre FPS games which come out.

That's really a good question.

Now that Halo 3 is out for console (not a owner of one currently) I really couldn't care about the game. Doesn't mean I wouldn't mind playing the single player part. But the multi player is just dumb now days.
Now, give me a real shooters game like BF2 or 2142 that actually has some sort of goal and you will find me playing that.
In all reality, to each his own when it comes to games in general. Not everyone is going to like the same thing when it comes to games.Q: What do you think about most during the day?

Re: Halo 3 Discussion Thread
So true Uber. I've been an avid Halo player since day 1. About the online play, I only play with friends. Go into team games and when one of those douche bags acts the fool, he has 4+ adults laughing at him/her (they sound like little girls). Anyway, I do both PC and Console all the time! Thanks to VW for that badass vid card
Back to Halo 3. I have a blast playing with my friends, and enjoyed the closure to many parts of the story. I've been a junkie, even read all the books.

Re: Halo 3 Discussion Thread
Same here, I love Halo. I've been following it since it was first dreamed up at Bungie, lol. Even when it was originally 3rd person :/ I've read all but one of the books (there's a new one out I haven't read yet). I'm dieing to play Halo 3 just for the story

Re: Halo 3 Discussion Thread
i knew it, i hated halo because it was so childish, now that the original players are older, they dont like it anymore, halo 3 didnt fill its shoes like it did before. a good example of one filling its shoes would be crytek with crysis from farcry, and killzone 2 after making the shitty yet somewhat fun killzone 1

I'm curious, how is Halo childish? I just want to know. Killzone 2? It's not out yet, same with Crysis.

look at the enemies, they might look cool, but they sound like kids, and did u see the differenc ein killzone 2 than the first one in the videos. they literally bleed intead of squirt out blood, they are scary and sound like they are pissed off, halo makes up for it in gameplay and weapons but the enemies make it FEEL DUMB

Re: Halo 3 Discussion Thread
All right, I see where you're coming from... the grunts are a big part of what you're talking about. Being cowardly cannon fodder, they're true to their role in the Halo universe. The Flood are definitely pull along the mature stuff when it comes to enemies.
