any thoughts on last nights fox republican debate?

i was really mad they asked everyone but ron paul about border security and immigration reform. they knew he would have made everyone else look like a pansy on the subject. a talk about the end to birthright citizenship would have been far more valuable than whoever that guy is talking about "building a fence" and being praised.
i think gulliani lost some supporters after the crap he spewed. he didn't have anything good to explain why he ran a sanctuary city and he seems fine with the idea of outlawing guns to "reduce crime" and otherwise running the usa like new york city.
ofcourse i think the quote of the night went to ron paul when he said israel has 2-300 nuclear weapons and they can take care of themselves.

btw when hannity blamed the 3% of "ron paulites" for voting him 35% of winner from cell phone because they keep redialing was completely false.
it was proven on a few websites you could not vote for the same person twice from the same phone.

I agree about the end of the birthright citizenship. Definitely should be ended...

i haven't seen any other politician even approach this subject, muchless introduce legislation to amend the constitution. the rest of them seem like they are just saying what they think people want to hear, and half of them proved it when they voted for bush's recent amnisty bill.
i think anyone who voted for amnisty, the patriot act or against 2nd amendment rights isn't what the republican party should be about.

    i've found this page http://www.14thamendment.us/birthrig...al_intent.html
it explores the origins of the 14th amendment, the reason it was ratified and why it was never intended to mean that a child born to an illegal alien should be a citizen. it even seems to state "and subject to the jurisdiction thereof" which would seem to disclude someone who's presence in the country itself is ILLEGAL.
the reason it was ratified after the end of the civil war is many states were refusing to count blacks as citizens. that is over with now. things can change and make the amendment obsolete and i think this one needs some revision to make everything clear so there is no misinterpritation reguarding an issue that was unthinkable when it was writen.
this isn't the only bright idea ron paul has about immigration reform. i found a recent article by him here http://www.lewrockwell.com/paul/paul269.html and there are many others.

does anyone like any other canidate? even a democrat or other?
