    Question about Supreme Commander Demo

Ok so I just got a Q6600 Quad Core from Intel with 2GB of RAM and a GF 7950 gx2. Plenty of muscle right? Well I try to load up the Supreme Commander demo and it actually feels like it is running worse than it did with my old system (AMD 64 3500+). Wtf? Shouldn't this game be screaming on my new system?

Very Strange when i upgraded to Quad i could finally play the game in full details with many AI, unlike my previous system.

Did you format? I personally format after each major upgrade, and seeing as it seems you also swapped chipsets you may want to think about it if you haven't done it already.

Of course, formatting for me after changing motherboard/processor is standard procedure.

Possible driver issues is what comes to mind for me.

I have the latest video drivers and bios and such. Also latest sound drivers. Not sure what else I could be missing.

I have no idea. I also have a bios question in the hardware section if you care to take a peak.

So you updated the bios, came up with error but you are still able to boot up?
I would reflash the bios again and go from there. It may have been a bios glitch. I had my mobo not take a bios update properly 4 times in a row and had issues with stuff not working like they should.

Yeah the board works and boots into windows once I hit enter, but it's just a pain in the ass telling me it doesn't support the chip, yet it works and the chip is supported!

Try reinstalling the bios a couple times. See if that gets rid of that error.

    I dunno man.

I wish I could tell you something more interesting, other than I havent seen platform upgrades interesting enough for me to move from 939 yet.

Its not like the old days anymore.

I do wish I had a better video card or two tho.

I just try the usual. Overheating (too much paste, airflow, etc), drivers, BIOS'S.. Nothing that hasnt been covered or whatever.
