Emoticon/Smilies ideas...

We need some new emoticons, but I'm not sure what kinda the majority of people here prefer. Ignore the fact that some of ours have a white ring around them (it's a matte issue, can be fixed), which ones do you all prefer?

Would you prefer Live Messenger (MSN) style emoticons? Gimme some input here and I can see about making some custom emoticons for us.

Its not that the current ones suck ass or anything (well, maybe some of them do but probably purposefully so ;) ), its the aliasing or whatever is going on around them to keep them from blending into the site. I remember the same issue exhibited when Ratchet introduced the new smiley set at Rage3D, something that was resolved over time.

Yeah that is something that we are going to work on. Like you said it takes time. It's because they are not a priority issue atm.

Lol, nope. That light ring around them is because the gif's were saved and matted to have a white background. It's a blending option to help the gif blend into it's background image/color better and so it'll have smooth edges. Without the matte, the edges are really jagged.
