ASUS Launches Its First WiMAX-Ready Notebook

FREMONT, CALIFORNIA (October 8th, 2008) -ASUS today announced the immediate availability of its WiMAX-ready notebook –the ASUS M50Vm-A1WM. Now available in Baltimore, MD, WiMAX is flexible wireless broadband technology with the ability to deliver rich data experience and potential to unwire entire cities. The addition of the built-in WiMAX module enables consumers to enjoy rich online multimedia without interruption. The integration of WiMAX-enabled Intel® Centrino™ 2 laptop with the first-ever combined WiMAX/Wi-Fi module, previously codenamed "Echo Peak," allows consumers to experience HD content with high-fidelity audio, anywhere and anytime.

ASUS is proud to lead the launch of notebooks embedded with this revolutionary technology. At the official XOHM™ WiMAX launch in Baltimore, ASUS will also showcase its WiMAX-enabled N50 and F8V that are scheduled to launch before the end of this year.
