    4870x2 and its…issues!

The more I read about this video card, the more I laugh. Questions or comments like, “my card will not respond, please help” or “the card artifacts if I don’t run the fan at 50%.” It’s interesting to see the ATI fanboyz freaking out over some of the NVIDIA side of things, but this seem to be acceptable to have these issues with ATI’s hardware. It’s just too funny really.
Q: What do you think about most during the day?
A: Women. They are a complete mystery.

CF on a stick can never be preferable to single card- unless trhe game is unplayable with single card.

Beyond AMD/ATI still having driver problems with their new equipment.. That goes without saying really, as well those issues can contain some user error.

What I think is slightly amusing is after the rumors of nV desktop parts failing, and reading into the otherside more, there seems to be a high rate of people that must run their shiny new AMD cards with high fan speeds to keep them from artifacting and crashing. (or worse, burning up)

Meh, its RMA'able right..? My parts have an eVGA lifetime warranty on them. Not sure how many AMD cards have that.

I think Nitromullet of TA did a fine job comparing the 4870X2 to the GTX280.

    Nice!

Surprised at how Quake ran on the 280.

Yeah, me too. I also think it's funny how they're comparing a dual gpu 4870 X2 to a single gpu GTX 280. Not really getting much performance (if any in most games) over the 280 and the 280 is around $100 cheaper...
