So it is rumored that NVIDIA is going to be releasing a vid card called the 9800. Not sure on the actual name like GTX or what ever. But from my understanding from their latest press release stuff is that it is going to be a kick ass video card with a performance of close to one tereflop. AMD/ATI has a fight on their hands from the looks of it unless they have something sneaky up their sleeves and being that AMD likes to keep things on the hush hush side of things on info let out it could be an interesting end to this year.
Another rumor is that NVIDIA and Intel have started sharing info in the last couple weeks on GPU/CPU combinations. This will be interesting to see what comes of this. Intel has also rumored that the new chipset that they will be releasing is going to drop the price of quad core procs dramatically.

I want 'em to drop the prices of quad cores and core 2 duo's so i can afford 'em, lol. The mobo's and ram prices could drop too and I wouldn't mind. As for the gpu, 9800? I think if it came to that, they'll probably come up with a new naming scheme or something because of ATi's already released 9800's. That's just imho anyway.

Whatever they plan on doing, I hope they hurry up and release it already. The more time they waste, the more worthless my 8800GTX becomes. :(

Dunno, but if possible (which I dunno if it will be), when income tax comes around, I want to upgrade my rig the best I can because it'll probably have to last me for another year or two (this one is about 2 years old?). So.. bring on the new cards, be a price I can pay or bring the 8800 Ultra down to something I can pay, lol.
