Lost Planet is an epic gaming masterpiece combining a gripping single player campaign and intense multiplayer modes. Lost Planet contains sophisticated visuals, with an unmatched level of detail as advanced light sourcing is used to ensure a realistic presentation that enhances every explosion, smoke and particle effect. Enormous world maps unfold as players battle hostile creatures in blistering weather conditions across vast snowfields and blazing volcanic areas either on foot or in armed, robotic Vital Suits. Lost Planet for PC is rated T for Teen by the Entertainment Software Ratings Board (ESRB) and will be available in June for a suggested retail price of $39.95.

This week, Capcom will be releasing two versions of its Lost Planet: Extreme Condition demo for the PC. Both versions will contain the same content (i.e., no differences in game play), but one version will be DirectX 9 and the other DX 10. The latter version will be the world’s first downloadable DX 10 game demo. Both demos will weigh in at roughly 350 MB.

For those who haven’t seen it, Lost Planet has been a huge hit on the Xbox 360 since its release in January, and the PC game is even better. NVIDIA has been working closely with Capcom on the development of the PC game, providing technical expertise and GeForce 8-series graphics cards. As a result, Lost Planet will support resolutions up to 2560x1600, higher resolution special effects, and improved lighting and shadows.

Please note: NVIDIA recommends that any testing or evaluation of this game should be done with the Forceware v158.42 beta driver, released on the 14th at nzone.com.

It has allot of the same feel of the 360. But as for visual stuff it looked more glamorous. Being it is going to be a DX10 game it is going to look fabulous. Unfortunately at this time I do not have a DX10 setup. So I can't exactly test out the DX10 demo. But from the looks of the DX9 demo I would think it would be spectacular.

Here are some screen shots for you to gaze upon!
Being that I do not have the parts currently available to really get the wonder of this game to show, the screen shots may not look extremely impressive. But they still show a playable setting setup for an Athlon 3500+ winchester core, 2GIG OCz, GeForce 7950 GX2.

Q: What do you think about most during the day?
A: Women. They are a complete mystery.

After just playing it for myself, I've got to say it's a pretty kool game. The mouse controls are a little wierd, I tried a few settings, I dunno... Great graphics and effects though. The screenshots really do it no justice.

looks promising, the visuals is very nice, one of the first games to use dx10 so it would be nice to see how well this does, seems like the creaters were confindent using their dx10 skills to release it so soon

It is a good game but you'll need a decent computer to get some decent frames.
