My PC is attacked by a Suspicious Script called "NTDETECT.exe" which is harming my PC's parformences. It's symtom is when i double click on my disk drives to open then cz of this script drives dont open. Instead my virus guard notify me about this script. It also denies me to unplug any removable drive. Can anybody tell me how I could get rid of this without formatting my HDD.
I would be grateful.

A Suspicious Script

Re: A Suspicious Script
My suggestion would be to go into safe mode/run virus scanner/remove virus.
Also while in safe mode remove all your browser cached info. To do that go into drive C:\Documents and settings\YOUR USER ACCOUNT\
Then go up to the menu TOOLS and Folder options. A window should pop up and you want to select VIEW from the tabs. In the Advanced Setting area you need to find Show Hidden Files and Folders and make sure that is selected. Then save and exit that screen.
Next: you should see more files now. Click on the new one that says Local Settings. In here there is 2 folders that need to have all the info inside deleted. Not the file it's self, just the info inside. Some items may not be allowed to delete. A little trick I use is Ctrl+A (selects all files) and hit delete. You will most likely get ones that do not delete and all you have to do is hold down the Ctrl key and de-select the first file and hit delete again on the other still selected files. You may have to repeat this more than a couple times.
After you do the above, run your AV. Removing everything from your cached browser stuff makes the AV run faster and helps remove any unwanted files like links to pics that are malicious and AV doesn't see it.
WARNING: REMOVING YOUR BROWSER CACHED INFO WILL DELETE ANY SAVED PASSWORDS AND WEB PAGES. I SUGGEST YOU BACK UP YOUR PASSWORDS AND POPULAR LINKS YOU VISIT.Q: What do you think about most during the day?
A: Women. They are a complete mystery.
