So I remember back when I used to have a 6800GT that setting this option to 0 instead of 3 increased performance drastically in many situations. My question is whether this option is still hidden away in the new control panel? If so plz tell me where.
Thanks,
-Tyler
PS. New control panel FTL. I cannot find options easily and things like overclocking (even tho I have coolbits2) and image scaling options do not work.

Re: New control panel & Render X Frames Ahead Option...
This amazing tweak guide answered my question for me:
http://www.tweakguides.com/NVFORCE_2.html
I was able to enable the option thru RivaTuner (great program). Alternatively, there is a registry file u can use to get the old control panel back. That, paired w/coolbits, also allows you to enable this "Max Frames to Render Ahead" w/the newer drivers.
However, changing the value to 0, as was often recommended, causes my system to crash w/o failure before any game even launches. I did successfully decreased the value to 2 tho.System Specifications:
Seasonic S12 430W PSU
AMD X2 4200+ w/2GB PC4200 Dual Channel
eVGA Geforce 8800 GTS 640MB w/Gateway FPD2185W
SB Audigy 2 w/1000W Logitech Z-5500
3DMarks: 10845 @ '05, 7299 @ '06

Is this option for OpenGL (tripple buffering) and/or Direct3D?
