Yessiree, looks like NV has another winner on their hands in the mid-range DX10 market. I just hope ATI finally throws some decent resources at their R6xx mid-range parts and puts out some mid-range cards worth buying for once.

Lol, who cares what ATi does... they arent gonna do anything until at least May. Probably global warming will have gobbled us all up by then haha.

id be really sad if ati went outta business... you are abs rite, we need the competition. i just wouldnt be particularily interested in buying anything ati for like at least a half year. they are totlally outta the market atm... you wont be able to find a card better that the 8800gts to buy at a decent price for some time imho.

Nvidia has been doing a pretty good job with mainstream hardware since the Geforce 6600GT. They just seem to get the price/performance down very well. And then the first mainstream cards become very cheap to produce and trickle down into value. For Nvidia it always make sense to make a card like the 6600GT first then trickle high end down.
