hello all...
i am newb here and i apologize in advance if this is not the right place for this...
what i have here is a gforce fx 5200 with a bad cd - i pop it in and it never opens the files
i am running a dual boot windoze xp and ubuntu dapper and the system board is asus p5ld2-vm (this board is really quite sucky, if you want to avoid some major bs avoid this one folks)
i know how to recompile my kernel on linux to get this puppy to work... just don't know of the driver that i should use in this
as for the windoze side it works somewhat... that is my lil' bro is able to play medieval 2, but i don't know about watching movies... nor do i really care as i never use windoze for anything... i'd just like to be able to use it on linux and not have to change bios and monitor erytime i go back to my business after he plays his games... also like to see how friggin' awesome my movies look on it and what nots...
again i apologize if this is not the right place for this topic
