My gf and I love to game over our DS's. Mainly we're into the puzzle games like Meteos or Tetris. We've been getting into Mario Kart DS which is fantastic.
Any other ideas? I dont' think she'd be into games like animal crossings.

You could try, Worm Open Warfare 2, not sure if it would be to your liking but it is a fun Multi-player game
