    What of this.. Discrimination?

    http://www.earthtimes.org/articles/show/18109.html

Now.. I look at this, and I understand where this is coming from. Her status of being in this country is in question, so.. No free shit fer j00.

Is this discrimination or being fair to people who are legal to be here?

(Note: as much as I dislike P&R over wherever, its really the eliteist assholes I dislike, so I'll get something started here, and hope that we can discuss things like everyone here is real peoples.)

In the contest rules, in order to be eligible the parent as well needed to be a legal US citizen.

However it is true, the baby is legal, because it was born here, however.. Due to media pressures, Toys R Us broke their own rules, to award the prize to someone who was not eligible.

Didn't actually read the rules so I missed that part. Well, if the parent needed to be a citizen as well then it's total and complete bullshit.

What makes it total and complete bullshit is that they awarded the kid the prize anyway. They come here, have a kid and then the kid is automatically a US citizen. That's like down in Texas where the Mexicans are crossing the border just to have their child on US ground. The hospitals end up having to get money from the state to cover all the expenses when the parents aren't here legally in the first place. So they're finally starting to deny covering the crap. It just pisses me off that immigrants come here and pretty much get more help and benefits than 100% US citizens (family been here since forever...). They get tax breaks, grants, etc... and we get shit. I love my country, but damn we do some stupid shit all for P&R sakes...
