Re: Doom 3
Play the game with a high difficulty setting. It's more effective when the demons can actually kill you.

Re: Doom 3
Being a console Mobile Suit Gundam, Resident Evil, Silent Hill veteran Ace game player I did find Doom 3 to not be "scary" but there where plenty of "holy shit" moments in the game, like when a zombie soldier came out of a door you know was clear without hearing the radio transmision sound and others.
I found the game to be intensely interesting, even after I dismissed D3 in favor of Half Life 2, then time took its toll and made me change to viewing Half Life 2 as forgettable and Doom 3 as memorable and satisfying.
However I do have some interstingly good news that might be of interest to you, out in the mod communities there is a D3 mod that makes the monsters show up at random instead of the "I know where you hid last summer" scenario, bringing much needed life extension to the game.
There is also I believe an enemy numbers increaser mod that increases your enemies specially when you have a current to last year rig or so. Basically making the game feel more like the old Dooms where you would go into a room and find a large group (not necessarily an army like in Serious Sam games) that is enough to make you have trigger happy dreams.AMD Athlon XP 3200+ Barton 2333Mhz Socket 462
Copper based Foxconn cpu heat sink+fan
ASRock K7NF2-RAID 1.30 Bios 333Mhz FSB Dual Channel Baby
1536MB DDR 400 SDRAM
Antec TruePower 430W PSU.
Hitachi and Seagate 160GB HDDs and 3rd Seagate 80GB
Plextor PX-716A Ver 1.10
BFG Nvidia 6800GT OC 256MB GDDR3 AGP 8X
BFG OC 370Mhz WinXP Pro SP2

Re: Doom 3
Hi. I still enjoy Doom3 but having a mod to increase the enemies and make them appear at random locations would make the game much more exciting. Where can I get these mods? Thanks.
