Got this from a Fry's rep today
Nvidia is recalling all Geforce 8800GTX's there is bad resistors on the card, Fry's sent all there cards back in, beware.
Of course, nVidia themselves said:
Today NVIDIA announced the hard launch and immediate availability of our new flagship GeForce 8800 GPUs. Some recent reports on the web mention a BOM error (wrong resistor value) on initial GeForce 8800 GTX boards. All boards with this problem were purged from the production pipeline. Product on shelves is fully qualified and certified by NVIDIA and its board partners. We and our board partners stand behind these products and back them with our full warranty.

Re: 8800GTX recall rumor from a retail sales guy
No apology necessary to me. When I first saw it, I thought "Why is Candle_86 FUDding the board?" as I've seen you post pro nVidia stuff before. Then I noticed the dates and cleaned up my sarcasm, and now offer my apology for springing the semi-almost-reputedly reknown Rollo "wit" upon you. ;)

Heh I just like the idea of being fellated twice, and think the odds of it happening rise .0000000000000000000000000000000001% if you command it in your sig. ;)
