Ok, chime in if you're running an Nvidia card currently. I've got a eVGA 7900GT KO in my main rig and an eVGA 6800GT AGP in my secondary one. The 6800GT has run flawless since the day I got it (which was when the card was first released). As some of you may already know, or might not know, there have been issues (artifacts, lockups, etc) with 7900 series cards from multiple manufacturers including eVGA. eVGA stepped up to the plate, however, and have really taken care of everyone who has their 7900 cards (not that they don't take care of people who have any card of theirs).
I've been running the 'modified' replacement for a while now and haven't run into any of the problems that I did with the original. When I got the replacement I kept the stock cooling on up until a few days ago when I put my Zalman VF-900 back on. Lowered the idle temps from around 56C to roughly 40C. Awesome cooler
I've gone back and forth betwen ATI and Nvidia depending on who had the superior card when it came time to upgrade. With this past upgrade, honestly it was a toss-up between ATI and Nvidia's offerings. You really couldn't go wrong with either. I stuck with Nvidia because Newegg had a great price and eVGA hasn't let me down yet. Like someone mentioned over at Rage3D, if eVGA made ATI cards as well they'd really be unstoppable.

Re: Nvidia Roll Call
Stock idle temp is high because the 'modified' card has the core voltage raised (which is one of a number of things changed to fix the issues with these cards). On top of that the cooling for the GT's isn't as robust as the GTX's.

Re: Nvidia Roll Call
I'm running a 6800GT AGP card. I don't see myself upgrading until after the first of the year at the earliest, or until I can't enjoy my games with it.
I'd put up my computer specs, but I really doubt you care.

Re: Nvidia Roll Call
My rigs are sort of under construction (waiting on a new PSU for quad rig, and a new SLI mobo for other) but I have two 7950 GX2s for my main rig, feeding a 2405 FPW LCD, and two 7800GTXs that will be hooked up to my NEC FE 2111SB CRT.

Gaming goodness.

Re: Nvidia Roll Call
In between main gaming rigs right now. My last setup consisted of a P4 3.0E 2GB and a 7800GTX. Sold them all off in anticipation of new stuff coming out.
Researching my next purchases now, but it looks like whatever platform I choose, the vid card will be at least one 7950GX2.
In the interim I have been using a P4 2.66 Northy & 2GB on a P4P800 with a ASUS 6600 vanilla. Hey, it plays CoD2 ok so I'm ok for now.

Re: Nvidia Roll Call
i hope you relize that the drivers that come with the 7950 will NOT allow you to run them in a sli config. the only way to get a quad sytem is to buy it from a company like alienware or falcon northwest

Re: Nvidia Roll Call
No NV cards for me right now, but I am looking forward to the Geforce 8 series' introduction in a few months.
Last NV card I owned was an FX5200. Needless to say I wasn't too happy with it
Prior to that were a GF4 Ti 4200 (128MB, 128-bit, AGP 8X), a GF2 Pro 64MB, and a Riva 128ZX 8MB 2x AGP card. I really liked my GF4, and that Riva card was the shiznyte when I bought it 8 years ago
My rig: Dell (meh) P4 530, 2.5GB RAM, HIS X1650 XT iSilenceII 256MB

You were quoted twice because I didn't have the knack for your board yet- fixed.
