I Have a new English 03 Celica vvti - 140bhp (manual 6 gear) ;D
I need some suggestions for increase in performance - without it being classified as modded at its next MOT (as this would make my car insurance rise)
so far i am thinking about adding a K&N stock air filter
and of course some nice xenon hal side lights
any other ideas would be appreciated

Re: English 03 Celica mods required
I didn't know headlights increased performance
j/k
Maybe a new air intake? less restrictive exhaust? new chip? Better rated tires? lighter rims?
P.S.,
K&N are crap, there are better air filters out there (just google it, I can't remember the names off the top of my head).

Re: English 03 Celica mods required
Do you have a specific goal in mind with your mods or do you just want to throw parts at your ride?
If you're truly concerned with performance, why are you looking at side lights?
For small N/A engines, power can be derived from the following mods:
intake
exhaust
cams
port & polish of the intake manifold
larger displacement through boring/stroking
higher compression ratio
more fuel
programmable EFR/ECU
TUNING!!!!!!
If you want to increase your car's performance without performing any of the above mods - don't bother. The best you can hope for is some handling mods like strut tower bars, tires, and suspension. My rig: Dell (meh) P4 530, 2.5GB RAM, HIS X1650 XT iSilenceII 256MB
