Well. After dinkin around with it. Finally got it to work. Playin my game on the primary GPU and folding full bore on the secondary. As well, when Im done gaming, just fire up the primary folding. :)

Right on man. How's that folding anyhow?

I assume your running folding off the primary GPU and EQ off the secondary? Good use of resources. Specially on more modern Nvidia cards which dont really accelerate EQ much.
Ahh just read it. your approach is the exact opposite of how I would have gone about it.

What method would you have used?
This seems to work great. And honestly, Im not sure how I would get EQ2 to run on the secondary card anyway. If I folded on the primary, and fired up EQ2, it nearly locks up the machine.
Edit : And it folds great. I will again start folding on them again when it finally cools down. Heats up the room and in the summer right now, it gets 100 in this room real quick.

Looking at my labels more closely, it appears that I had mislabeled my shortcuts from the start.
The temp sensors indicated this morning (folded last night, its cooling down finally) that the primary was folding. Of course, just rolling out of bed, I wasnt gaming..
Anyway. The shortcut with -GPU 0 runs the primary of course, so I suppose that when I fired up EQ2 (as my little test) and the machine didnt grind to a halt like in my initial testing. I guess I wasnt paying attention to the shortcuts end parameter GPU switch, because I fired up the game and tried a shortcut, it ran good, that must have been the GPU 1 not 0 right?
Well.
Anyway. Not exactly sure how or why it works that way, but it does work. So then I must ask. Why? Why when I fold on the secondary card (SLI disabled, etc) when I fire up a game, it grinds to a halt, but when I fold on the primary, and fire up the game, it happily uses the second card?

VW I completely forgot to mention that I run multi monitor. I think its an allocation of resources. I'll see what I can find out on it. Unlike ATI hardware which accelerates through a graphic API. Nvidia uses CUDA which is purely seperate from the rendering pipeline. I run EQ 2 off a second monitor with my second card. And CUDA off my primary card.

Actually. I have been playing EQ 1 and folding on the other. But still same concept. Its interesting that with Quad Core And Vista, And 2 GPUS, You can run 2 instances off the same PC. JUst sharing the memory.
Kinda cool doing it that way :)

Ahh.. I see. Yeah, I see where that would be a little different than what I have going on.
Im just happy that I figured out how to more effectively use the resources of my PC. :D
